The new improved Evolution 26GT 26cc petrol engine is precision made using the very latest CNC machining techniques, very light in weight for its size, beautifully finished with a blue anodised cylinder head, and prop driver. The 26GT has a front mounted Walboro carburettor for ultra-reliability, side exhaust port, and a single bolt prop mounting for convenience. The ignition control unit (ICU) is a state of the art electronic ignition unit that automatically advances the timing ensures easy starting, and maximum performance and the mini spark plug with shielded plug lead and cap minimises the risk of RF interference. Other features of the ICU include, a fail-safe feature that automatically switches to an inactive state after 90 seconds of inactivity, this helps to preserve battery life should the switch be left on after a flight, the ICU may be used with Ni-Cd, Ni-MH up to 8.4volts or Li-Po batteries up to 7.4voltsprovides very easy starting, and automatically advances the timing for maximum performance. Ideally suited to models weighing up to fifteen pounds in weight, or large lightly loaded sport models. The engine is very compact and easy to mount using conventional beam mounts, just like glow fuel engines! Enjoy the lower running costs of operating a petrol engine, with a gallon of petrol being about a quarter of the price of a gallon of glow fuel, and the added bonus of much cleaner running with no oily residue being deposited on your model.
